As we expand our operations, we are looking to fill the new role of Load Planner.
This individual will oversee our fleet of refrigerated box trucks from a remote position, focusing on driver management, fleet maintenance, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The Load Planner is a key figure in optimizing delivery operations, tasked with managing our fleet while maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and compliance.
This temporary, remote position offers the potential to become permanent, depending on performance and business requirements.
Specifically in this role, you will:
Ensure effective communication with drivers to efficiently manage schedules, address concerns, and support their needs
Oversee payroll time cards, approve time off, and coordinate coverage with Logistics and CFA
Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of trucks, manage preventive maintenance schedules, and handle service visits
Ensure DOT paperwork is compliant through the JJ Keller Portal and maintain accurate reefer hours and mileage
Optimize driver routes and schedules for maximum efficiency, adhering to DOT regulations regarding driver hours
Ensure the smooth transition and management of fuel card operations
Stay current with all DOT/Government regulations, ensuring all operations comply, especially concerning driver hours and maintenance requirements
The ideal candidate:
Adaptable to Remote Work: Capable of effectively managing and communicating with a remote team to ensure operational efficiency and team engagement
Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of DOT and other relevant regulations, with a focus on compliance
Proactive Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate
Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of creating a positive and productive remote work environment for the fleet team
